Some of the many highlights were:
Glastonbury Festival, where Russ and Gordon showed the world what fire unicycle jousting was all about, it was just a snippet from their ensemble fire show , with live music, real maidens, queens, knights on sort of horseback and of course lots and lots of fire , it's great spectacular fun and Peter didn't set himself on fire again at all, not once, not even a little bit!
A Birthday party for Ellana and her amazing Russian family in Golders Green in London... , there were a lot of big blokes in dark suits and sunglasses standing around in the background but we ignored them ...... :-)
The Birthday party on Lord Bath's Estate at Longleat , very nice. Lord Bath emailed us himself!!
We were asked back to Oxford to perform at Cornbury Music Festival, 3 years on and the event has grown beyond recognition and deserves all the praise it gets, if you want to go "posh rock " that's where to do it.
Georgina the Mind reading Giraffe went on the Eco trail supporting environmental issues again and then went on to help the South African Tourist Board promote their Conservation Safaris, during a long weekend in London.
Russ and Jasper doing their Schools shows , they both sing songs especially written by Jasper, very impressive, very educational, very entertaining.
A corporate circus workshop for a massive tool company at the Silverstone Racetrack, v fast!
The Gothic Wedding where Russ met all the guests as an eight foot "Lurch" and the bride and groom had the rings tattooed on and we taught the guests how to crack whips and eat fire.
Russ doing the hospital and hospice visits , really nice . balloon making, juggling and magic....magic!
We were asked back again to our favourite shopping Mall and big thanks to Betty from Wits End and a sad good bye to Sandra, the best Entertainment Director in Wales.
Pete got on TV again with his whipcracking skills , fabulous physique and golden charm, 2 out of 3 isn't bad says Russ.
The New Home Show , great hotel, great team from the Western Mail and Echo Events , Emma is a star ! We produced some great jugglers from the circus workshops as well.
The Carew 500 Tournament at Carew Castle recreating the history of Sir Rhys Ap Thomas being awarded the Order of the Garter from Henry VIII 500 year ago to the day , Merlin and Droole the Foole were mixing it up with real knights and absolutely bona fide jousting . The Star Gunners were crazy!!!, they were firing these massive old cannons into the hills .....
A Prom Party for Ebbw Vale Comp, kids were fantastic.
The Scouts Centenary celebrations , doing workshops in that wind , in that tent!! we must have taught a thousand how to juggle that weekend
The Colwinston Fete in that rain! Pete went as Mr Sink from The Titanic Twins , which was lucky coz he got very wet, it's the only village fete we know where all the inhabitants ambush the parade!
The Big Cheese Festival as Merlin and Droole , we laughed so much we had to stop...and the crowds just get bigger every year
The new electric boat for the Titanic Twins , it worked a treat .
France! The Valkyrie got all the way there and all the way back in great style, Rose wine before it got fashionable! Our thanks to Ann and Tony for the use of their house in the Dordogne , a view of the river and chateau ... Marvellous
Our children's parties have proven even more popular, with our two hour party package going all over the country .(even though we had to raise the price coz we were missing out on all day event bookings,.... go figure! ) We've kept our successful formula of Circus games, or a Circus workshop, a Circus and magic Show with comedy juggling, spinning plates, diablo trick and lots of audience participation and Modelling Balloons for all to finish off, it's two hours of non stop madness, children and adults of all ages loved it.
Talking about travelling, a gig in Newcastle for the University Law Society was fantastic, fab hotel setting, we gave them stiltwalkers on arrival, table entertainment and a mad fire show with whips and forfeits to finish, the travel was worth it for the amazing welcome they gave us and the wicked party after, we got taught Scottish Country dancing in the hotel corridors ......
Mistle and Toe the cheeky Christmas Elves led countless Christmas parades and cavalcades ( it's got to have horses in it to make it one of them) got their sleigh pimped by Santa's little helpers and now has even more lights and bells and furry dice . We led the the street entertainment art with us " making a list and checking it twice " At one event we had hundreds of children queuing up to put their names on our list! Good as gold they were , quiet as mice in case they didn't get what they wished for!!!
We finished off the year with a Circus themed party at a famous nightclub in Piccadilly Circus London for one of the worlds biggest media groups, it didn't faze Pete a bit ......... fortunately he didn't realise who they were until he started to recognise the guests on arrival ! too late to worry about it then he let his Ringmaster alter ego " Powerful Pierre " get his MC' ing going and the party stomping, the circus and whip act went down a storm. He thinks it was the company MD he had handcuffed on stage !!! Oh well, no more TV for Pete then ......
Forgive all this waffle, we really did have fun looking after you look at the " What the papers say " page to have the assurance of what others think of our performers and our variety acts, Here's a couple of recent comments :
